MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES

I'm Kristopher Kohlmeier, a recent Computer Science graduate working part-time managing, running, and maintaining the stage A/V equipment at Crossroads Church in Camarillo, CA. I'm building my software engineering skills to pursue a career in CG animation technology. I am constantly amazed by the beautiful and creative storytelling that continues to come from CG animation. To this day, I enjoy picking apart creative details in animation and analyzing the stories told through the medium. In my spare time, I listen to music, build custom keyboards, bake, and play co-op and social games.

Initially, I started as a volunteer at Crossroads. Coming on board, I enjoyed working on the technology behind the scenes of their weekly productions and delivering impactful experiences with our production setup. As a result, I taught myself A/V production by reading the equipment manuals and using online resources to learn best practices and standards for live productions. By quickly tackling technical difficulties that would otherwise halt services and managing all facets of their A/V equipment, I was able to move into a part-time role on staff. Since taking on this role, I've been key in training volunteer teams and elevating weekly production quality by spearheading A/V-related hardware and software projects.
